This barn frame circa early 1850’s is being sold as a 40’x60’ frame. Heavy hewn timbers were used in this frame construction. Bent layout is (3) 20’ bays. Outside uprights are a full 9”x10” with 10”x12” low rafter plates. Large pole rafters accent the roof line. This barn also has unique double stack tie beams that are spaced just 12” apart and filled with sleepers logs. The low tie beam height is 10’7”, high tie beam is 11’8”. Very nice hewn 8x9 mid rafter bracing holds in place full size hewn 8x8 mid rafter plate. Rare X style wind bracing accents the outside wall framing.
