The Rahm barn frame dates to early 1860’s. This all handhewn barn frame measures 40’x64’ along with an original build 8’ overhang. The bent layout is 14’-14’-14’-22’.
Low eave height is 18’, tie beams are located at 16’6” and peak of roof is at 30’. Species of wood is mostly white oak and hickory. This barn has a nice loft on one end of the barn where the original feeder wall is still intact. Wonderful wooden dowels are still in place where the hay was pushed thru to feed the cattle. The original doors are also in excellent condition. All of these features come with this frame. The barn also has tapered tie beams on each gable end that are 16” at the center point. Beautiful hewn beams thru out the barn along with the original 8’ handhewn overhang on one end of the barn.
