Contact Us About This FrameIn April of 2023 , the Ohio Valley Barn Salvage team headed to Marshall Virginia to reassemble the Historic King repurposed barn frame that was located near BeaverDam, Ohio. This barn circa 1885, was built with a rare interior cantilevered loft overhang. The Barn measured 36'x50' long with 18' tall sidewalls. The OVBS team arranged shipping, furnished and installed the original roof sheathing. We also furnished and installed 12'' white pine siding with 3'' batten strips. The owners Bill & Natalie Zink had 36' piers poured at the location of the primary uprights. We used Simpson Strong Tie CPTZ8 base Tee plates to secure the upright post to the piers. Everything fits perfectly on the pier locations. We even installed the original hay rail and trolley. This repurposed barn fits perfectly on the 60 acres that already have some late 1700's and mid 1800's structures already on the property. Bill and Natalie will have many years of enjoyment showing off their repurposed barn from Ohio.
