Ohio Valley Barn Salvage traveled to Clinton, Connecticut to reassemble the Historic Wick Frame, circa the early 1850’s, measuring 30’ x 44’. The Wagner family had purchased a vacant lot next to the 1790’s era home and wanted a smaller historic barn from around the same time period. The barn was going to be a studio / social gathering center and a modern pole barn was not going to meet their expectations. This beautiful little frame has nice hand-hewn 9” x 9” uprights and full length low and mid rafter plates. OVBS supplied the original pole rafters and carefully installed them back in place. The owners selected mixed species 1” boarding for the interior roof sheathing look. A local red fox checked in on the progress and approved the workmanship and John and Marye were very happy with their historic barn frame from Ohio!
