Ohio Valley Barn Salvage is pleased to offer another great Ohio barn frame for sale. The Charm Barn, circa the early 1840’s, was built right in the middle of the town of Charm, Ohio where the largest settlement of Amish still reside today; This one-of-a-kind, hand-hewn, frame is 30’ wide x 64’ long and was blocked plane with a 4” hand plane to eliminate almost all of the hewn marks, an impressive feat! The bent space is 17’-34’-50-‘64’ bays and the outside uprights are 15’ deep. Adding strength to the frame are double stacked tie beams. There are 2 large single timber braces on each bent that can be removed to allow maximum movement throughout the barn. The original 2-sided hewn rafters are included, and each rafter is clearly marked with large scribe numerals. You will find that almost all of the timbers are clearly marked with beautiful scribe rule Roman numerals. This is truly a one-of-a-kind frame with all of the features anyone would want in an early timber barn frame. Please call or email for special pricing. OVBS ships and can reassemble our frames nationwide.
