Ohio Valley Barn Salvage is pleased to offer the Historic Ron repurposed barn frame for sale! This is such an impressive early hewn timber frame barn design. This very rare center bay clear span barn measures 36’ x 56’ and has a 15’ bay with an interior 36’ x 28’ open floor space, then a 13’ bay. This barn has beautiful hewn timbers and the most amazing feature of this barn is the clear span tie beam design. The master barn builder used 2-9’ wind braces on each end of the clear span tie beam. The key feature is how the mid-rafter post tenon is cut clear through the tie beam and has a 2” wooden pin through the bottom of the tenon to help strengthen the primary beam. This barn will be dismantled at the end of July 2024 to prevent any further damage to the frame. We have plenty of matching replacement timbers where needed.
