This barn dated early 1880’s measures 30’x73’. The barn was designed to have wide open floor space in the middle section of the barn. You have an area 30’x53’ long that has no center post. The bent sections have 23’ uprights post that are pushed near the outside wall vertical post and have handhewn mid tie with sag rods holding them in place. You have (3) of the bent section. The North wall and south are traditional bent section with handhewn timber with very nice ladders built. The south end of the barn has very nice built in loft with grainery doors still in place. Peak of roof is at 27’. Outside wall height is 17’. The master barn builder has placed some beautiful X bracing in the roof rafters. Where ever you look in this barn there is just something special. This barn frame would make an outstanding venue barn with wide open 30’x53’ floor space.
