East Canton Barn Frame
1877
This all handhewn 36'x66' bank barn was built in 1877 by the great grandfather of the present owners. It has (5) bents with spacing at 18'-33'-48'-66'. Rare gun-stock single upright post in the center bent. Eave height is 15'2'' with the peak of roof at 26'8''. All handhewn mid rafter bracing. Has large 10''x16'' swing beam tie beams on the gable ends of the barn. This barn frame is as clean as they come. Great patina timbers.
