Ohio Valley Barn Salvage is pleased to present our next repurposed Ohio barn frame. The Historic Honey Bee Barn frame is circa late 1870’s. This frame measures 36’x54’ with (3) 18’ bays. The outside walls are 16’ tall, peak of the roof is at 28’. This type of barn is known as a transition barn where the primary uprights are circle sawn timbers and the long tie beams and rafter plates are handhewn timbers. Besides the honey been hive that we carefully removed and relocated the unique features that make this worth saving is the amazing frame. All the uprights are beautiful white oak with a lot of quarter sawn marbling shown everywhere. The barn has a very large A style center bracing that has 17’ width at the floor and 10’ width at the tie beam. You have amazing wide open floor space. On the exterior walls, your siding girts are spaced at 45’’-95’’-144’’. Perfect fit for exterior windows. You also have a double set of wind bracing that continue to accent the beauty of this frame. You have heavy 9’’x10’’ white oak handhewn tie beams along with full length 54’ low and mid rafter plates. Another neat feature is that they did not pin the wind braces which makes for easy reassembly. This frame will be 100% complete, power washed, CAD Drawings and can be ready to ship 2 weeks after purchasing.
