The Beck-Reef Log Home circa early 1830's measures 26'x38' and features a 2 story design. Ohio Valley Barn Salvage was hired in 2019 to disassemble , make repairs, powerwash and reassemble this historic log home in Lancaster, Ohio. The log home was located on a tree farm near the center of town in Lancaster, Ohio. This log home was purchased by a local businessman and donated to the City of Lancaster Park and Recreations division. The new foundation was built at the Smeck Park location and our team carefully tagged and dismantled the entire log home. We powerwashed the logs, arranged for transportation and shipped the logs to its new location 5 miles away. The reassemble project took around 6 days start to finish including finding (3) 26' replacement timbers. This marked another very successful project for our Ohio Valley Barn Salvage team. The log home was completed by a carpenter crew and will be enjoyed by the public for years to come.
