Ohio Valley Barn Salvage is proud to offer this remarkable Historic Lincoln Highway Barn Frame, measuring approximately 40’ x 80’ and dating back to the 1830s. Hand-hewn entirely from white oak, this impressive timber frame has been exceptionally well preserved throughout its nearly 200-year history. The barn reflects the craftsmanship of the early Swiss Mennonite settlers who arrived in Putnam County in the 1830s, making it an outstanding piece of Ohio agricultural history. The traditional bank barn design features 24’ – 16’ – 16’ – 24’ bays, with substantial interior beams spaced approximately 14’ to 16’ apart. This configuration creates an open center aisle running the length of the barn and provides an impressive amount of open, usable space. Reaching approximately 28 feet at the roof peak, the frame also retains its original pole rafters, adding even more character and authenticity to the structure. With its generous dimensions, open layout, beautiful hand-hewn timbers, and historic character, this frame offers tremendous possibilities for adaptive reuse. It would make an exceptional foundation for a wedding or event venue, distinctive home, entertainment space, private retreat, or one-of-a-kind commercial property.
